Idaho Prevention and Support Conference 

Scholarship Application Period Open 

Eastern Idaho Public Health provides prevention conference scholarships 

 

Eastern Idaho – April 17, 2023 -  Eastern Idaho Public Health (EIPH) has been awarded funds from the Partnership for Success grant to build capacity throughout Eastern Idaho in reducing underage drinking and drug use. EIPH is offering scholarships for Idaho Prevention and Support Conference during May 4-5, 2023. Scholarships are limited to first time award recipients. 

"[The Idaho Prevention and Support Conference] focuses on innovation, best practices, collective problem-solving and motivation to most effectively address youth risk, behaviors, foster optimal health, and cultivate academic success for Idaho students. This statewide conference provides professional development for K-12 school personnel (teachers, counselors, administrators, school resources officers (SROs), school nurses, etc.…), education stakeholders, youth development practitioners, community coalitions, law enforcement, juvenile justice, child welfare professionals, and advocates for youth and parents. Through inspiring keynotes, interactive sessions and networking opportunities, attendees will strengthen their ability to cultivate supportive school and community climates for youth...Professional development credit (1 credit) will be offered through NNU. Details and credit registration are still to come. Thank you for your patience. For attendees looking for a different CEU or clock hours, please contact your association for what is required. We provide all attendees with a certificate of completion with the number of hours of participation."

Interested adults from Bonneville, Clark, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, and Teton counties are encouraged to apply.

Scholarships include the conference registration fee. If needed, EIPH can provide lodging for a maximum of two nights. Transportation and meals are not provided with this scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis until gone. Scholarships are limited to first time award recipients.  If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please fill out the registration form no later than April 30th, 2023, by 5PM.
