Land Development

Proper development of land and how wastes are managed and disposed of is critical when approving land development projects. The Environmental Health Division has regulatory responsibility to review all new subdivisions to ensure that the land is suitable for disposing of wastes in order to protect the public’s health and the environment. An Environmental Health Specialist (EHS) works with each county in reviewing land development proposals in order to help ensure the development complies with all applicable public health laws and rules.
