Drug Overdose Prevention
*This dashboard and data are available as a result of ongoing collaboration between Idaho Division of Public Health, Idaho Board of Pharmacy,
 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).

In 2021, there were 241 deaths in Idaho related to overdoses involving opioids. Of those 241 opioid overdose fatalities, 152 deaths were related to a fentanyl overdose.

Opioid Settlement

Opioid settlements from drug makers and major pharmaceutical distributors will provide funding for
treatment, recovery, prevention, and harm reduction in Idaho.

To help accomplish this mission, Eastern Idaho Public Health is excited to announce the opportunity to provide subgrants to organizations working to combat the opioid crisis in Eastern Idaho. Eastern Idaho Public Health’s vision focuses on healthy people in healthy communities with a mission to prevent disease, disability and premature death, promote healthy lifestyles; and protect and promote the health and quality of our environment.
